The Ferris State grad transfer also scored in a 3-1 win over Concordia and had an assist in UHH’s 2-2 draw with Point Loma. DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: Dominican’s Angelina Hert, GK, 5-9, Fr., La Verne, Calif.
Freshman goalkeeper
Angelina Hert kept Dominican opponents out of the goal during a tie with Holy Names (0-0) and a win over Fresno Pacific (2-0). Against the Hawks, Hert had four saves and stopped five more shots versus the Sunbirds to give her nine saves on the week. The victory over FPU was especially gratifying for Hert and the Penguins, topping a tough team that came into the match at 5-3. Dominican improved to 2-4-2 with the victory. The Bonita High School alum leads the PacWest in total saves in 2022 with 53.

They topped Biola 3-0, tied the Sea Lions 2-2 and swamped Concordia and Azusa Pacific by 3-1 counts. On the season, Hawai`i Hilo has outscored their opponents 43-8. They will learn more about their postseason when the next regional ranking, which had them No. 3 last week, is announced on Wednesday.
