#1 Azusa Pacific: The Cougars are the top seed in San Diego after winning their first PacWest title since 2016. Last year, APU just missed out on qualifying for the four-team field but still made the NCAA tournament. Azusa clinched the 2025 crown with a 2-0 win over Jessup in their regular season finale to improve to 11-3-3 overall and to 8-2 in PacWest action (24 points). The Cougar defense is a wall, led by keeper Alexia Muniz's 11 shutouts on the season and 0.529 goals against average. APU is currently ranked No. 2 in the NCAA West Region.

#2 Hawai`i Hilo: The Vulcans return to the tournament after reaching the title match one year ago. Hilo, 6-1-3 in conference action and 8-2-6 overall, has not lost since Sept. 24 at Dominican, 2-1. The Vulcan defense is tough, having allowed eight goals in 16 matches. Lydia Keller has eight shutouts, has allowed eight goals and has 61 saves, all second best in the PacWest. The Vulcans look for some revenge against Point Loma, whom they lost to in overtime (3-2) at the 2024 PacWest tournament and then again in the NCAA West Regional (2-1).

#3 Point Loma: Defending tournament champion Point Loma will take on UH Hilo on their own field. The Sea Lions topped Fresno Pacific (3-0) on the final day of the regular season to clinch their spot. Point Loma was 5-1-4 in conference play (19 points) and 8-3-5 overall. Ranked sixth in last week's NCAA West Region poll, The Sea Lions also hang their hat on their defense with keeper Julia Pinnell allowing just 10 goals in 16 matches this season. The senior also has 53 saves in 2025.

#4 Dominican: The Penguins are the surprise entry into the tournament, if you look specifically where they sat in the preseason poll, which was eighth. But Dominican has lost just one match all season, and that was back on Oct. 2 at conference champion APU, 1-0. Since that loss, DUC has gone 5-0-4. The Penguins will take a 9-1-8 overall record into that rematch and they finished 5-1-4 in conference play. Megan Clapinski leads the PacWest with nine goals scored in 18 matches, and her 21 total points also lead the league.
