Three teams clinched berths into the PacWest Volleyball championships, with one last spot remaining heading into the final week of the season. Oh, by the way, the regular season title is still up for grabs as well and could come down to Fresno Pacific at Point Loma on Saturday.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Biola’s Kendall Vandertuig, OH, Sr., 6-0, Tulare, Calif.
Biola’s Kendall Vandertuig is the Player of the Week for the second consecutive week and for the third time this season. This week, the 6-foot outside hitter put down 27 kills in a rivalry match against Azusa Pacific in just four sets, and added 19 more in a win over Vanguard. She hit .367 in doing so and also had 28 digs on the week. The 27 kills and 15 digs against the Cougars were season highs for the Tulare native.
DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: Point Loma’s Macy Reynolds, L, Sr., 5-7, Merritt Island, Fla.
Point Loma’s Macy Reynolds earned her second PacWest Defender of the Week award after digging up a conference-high 32 digs against Biola in a 3-1 Sea Lion win. She added 15 in another victory against Concordia giving her 47 total, an average of 5.87 per set. The 32 digs against the Eagles equaled her career high, set in 2023 against Hawaii Hilo. The Florida native leads the PacWest in digs per set with 5.02.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Fresno Pacific Sunbirds
Fresno Pacific is the Team of the Week after two more wins to inch closer to a PacWest regular season title. The Sunbirds clipped two fellow contenders, sweeping Hawaii Hilo (3-0) and topping Chaminade (3-1), both at home. FPU improved to 22-0 overall and to 10-0 in the PacWest, with matches this week at Biola and Point Loma. The Sunbirds are ranked No. 9 in today’s AVCA national poll, their highest ranking in Division II.
THREE IN, TWO CHASING ONE: Fresno Pacific (10-0), Point Loma (9-0) and
Hawai`i Hilo (8-3) have clinched PacWest Championship tournament berths, Nov. 20-21 in Honolulu at
Chaminade. The host Silverswords (8-3) are one of two teams still fighting for a slot, along with
Biola (6-4). The Eagles have the toughest road, hosting unbeaten Fresno Pacific on Friday before traveling to Concordia on Saturday. Chaminade just needs a win at home against Menlo on Friday to clinch their spot.

Point Loma is ranked No. 2 in the AVCA national poll and
Fresno Pacific is No. 9, both all-time bests for the Sea Lions and Sunbirds respectively in their NCAA Division II eras.
