While most of the nation hunkers down with winter weather, Pacific West Conference softball teams are getting ready for first pitch less than a month away. 

The 2026 softball season will open January 30 in Irvine at the Concordia Kickoff Classic at the OC Great Park. All 10 PacWest teams that play softball will throw out their first pitches of 2026 against teams from the CCAA, GNAC and RMAC.

Three weeks of non-conference games will follow before the PacWest season begins February 20-23 with Concordia traveling to Jessup, Vanguard visiting Dominican, Azusa Pacific and Biola will square off and Chaminade will be at Hawaii Hilo. 

After 34 conference games each, the top four teams in the league standings will qualify for the Pacific West Conference Championships at Biola University in La Mirada at Freedom Field. Biola won the 2025 regular season title and Concordia captured the PacWest tournament crown.
