Westmont's Adrian McIntyre has scored a ton of points this season, but none more than the 40 he put up on Biola last week. He is the Player of the Week and is back to leading the nation with 538 points and 26.9 points a game. Point Loma's defense shut down Azusa Pacific and Jessup for Defender of the Week, and Chaminade upset Academy of Art and knocked off Dominican for Team of the Week.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Westmont's Adrian McIntyre, Sr., G, 6-3, Sylmar, Calif.
Westmont's Adrian McIntyre went to a place that even he had never been to before with 40 points in the Warriors' upset attempt of Biola. He converted 15 of 22 shots against the Eagles. It was the sharpshooter's fifth game over 30 points this year and boosted his average to 26.9 points per game, tops in the NCAA. Two nights later the senior guard had 21 points in a big win over Concordia and had six assists. For the week, he shot .667 from the field to help keep the Warriors in PacWest playoff contention.
DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: Point Loma's Team
Point Loma held Azusa Pacific to just 54 points and Jessup to 65 in earning the Defender of the Week award as a Team. In the 76-54 win over the Cougars, the Sea Lions held APU 16 points below their scoring average. On the season, the Sea Lions lead the PacWest in scoring defense, allowing just 66.6 points per game. "We take a lot of pride on the defensive side of the court," said head coach
Justin Downer. "Sometimes that goes unnoticed. The award speaks to each individual's ability to guard and the cohesiveness that our team plays with night in and out. Being able to grind teams out when the other team slows the game down or our offense dries up is going to pay off in March."
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Chaminade Silverswords
Chaminade climbed back into the conference tournament picture with a pair of massive wins at home. The Silverswords snapped a five-game skid on Thursday with a 84-69 win over Dominican, riding the six three-pointes from
Jamir Thomas (21 points). The 'Swords jumped out early against the Penguins for a 49-27 first half lead.
Jackson Last added 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Coach
Eric Bovaird's team logged an even bigger win on Saturday, upsetting the conference's second place team in Academy of Art, 68-63. The 'Swords overcame a nine-point second half deficit in rallying for the win.
Flether MacDonald hit 8-of-12 shots for a team-best 17 points. CUH had just seven players available because of injuries. The Silverswords, who lead the PacWest in scoring at 84.3 points per game, improved to 8-8 in the conference (5th place) and 14-9 overall.
THIS WEEK: 12 games are on the docket this week, as the battle intensifies to secure the six PacWest tournament slots. On Wednesday, Westmont travelsl to Vanguard, Dominican is at Academy of Art and Concordia is at Azusa Pacific. On Thursday, Biola is at Menlo, Jessup goes to Hawaii Pacific, and Fresno Pacific is at Hawaii Hilo.
