Multi-event star Esther Conde-Turpin of Azusa Pacific got her throws work in over the weekend, establishing provisional marks in the shot put and javelin.

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Fresno Pacific's Brianna Green, Sprints, Grad., 5-6, St. Augustine, Florida
Fresno Pacific's Brianna Green, the 2024 PacWest champ in the 400 meter hurdles, posted the second fastest time in Division II this year in the 400 meters at the West Coast Relays in Fresno. Green ran a personal best 53.77 in the one-lap race. The Florida native already has a number of top early season marks, including the top 400 meter hurdle time in the nation (59.01), the sixth best 100 hurdle time (13.82) and the ninth fastest 200 (23.59).

Azusa Pacific's Esther Conde-Turpin had a busy day at the Vince O'Boyle Invite at UC Irvine, posting provisional marks in the shot put and javelin, while also skimming the 100 hurdles in 13.69, the fifth best time in D2 this spring. The France native posted the second best throws in the PacWest this year in the shot (44-11 3/4) and the javelin (139-11). The talented multi-event athlete was second at the PacWest Championships last year in the high jump and javelin and was third in the shot put. In 2023, she posted the second highest point total in NCAA Division II history in the heptathlon at 6,007.
NEWS AND NOTES: Biola's Maggie Williams clocked a time of 2:10.02 in the 800 meters at UC Irvine's meet, the second fastest time in the PacWest this year. She won the race in a time just off her personal best (2:09.82) but better than her 2024 second place finish at the PacWest Championships (2:11.15)...
Concordia's Jori Paradis ran 4:28.64 in the 1,500 meters, a NCAA provisional mark and second best time in the conference this season. Paradis is the defending PacWest champ (4:29.80) in the 1,500 and finished second last year in the 5,000 meters...Paradis's teammate

Academy of Art's Maika Cuenca-Andreo compiled 4,572 heptathlon points at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas. That bettered the NCAA standard by eight points, and was the fourth-best point total in ART U history. She also won the 200m (25.79) and ran the fastest 100mH of her career (14.60).
LOOKING AHEAD: PacWest teams will compete this Thursday through Saturday at the Stanford Invitational, the Brutus Hamilton (Cal Berkeley), the Triton Invitational (UC San Diego) and at Pomona Pitzer.
PACIFIC WEST CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS: The 2025 conference meet will be hosted by Fresno Pacific this year in Fresno, April 25-26. Azusa Pacific will be chasing their ninth consecutive team titles for both men and women.
