LONG BEACH--An experienced collegiate administrator for two decades, Brad Jones has been named Commissioner of the Pacific West Conference by the league’s Executive Board.
The fourth commissioner in the 32-year history of the conference, Jones brings a strategic vision for the future of the PacWest and a passion for helping student-athletes flourish in competition, the classroom and their local communities. He most recently served as Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletes at PacWest member Academy of Art University since 2017.

"Brad brings a wealth of experience and is a seasoned veteran of intercollegiate athletics. We're particularly pleased with Brad's legacy of significant contributions both within the Academy of Art itself as well as within the broader work of the PacWest Conference. We anticipate a long and positive contribution to the overall health and vitality of the Conference."

Jones’ successful tenure at Academy of Art included six PacWest Conference championships, 17 Individual NCAA National Titles and 143 All-Americans. In addition, the athletic department earned its highest overall department grade point average in both 2019 and 2020.
Prior to Academy of Art, Jones served as the director of athletics at BYU-Hawaii, and from 2012-16 as director of football administration at the University of Hawaii. His experience at the conference level includes director of championships at both the Atlantic 10 (2005-10) and Western Athletic (2010-12) Conferences. He served on the NCAA Division II Regional Advisory Committee for Men’s Golf (2021-24) and is currently on the board of the San Francisco Police Athletic Youth League.
Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 2004. He and his wife, Lisa, reside in Walnut Creek, California, with their children Jack and Lydia.
