In men's basketball, the Pacific West Conference has a vast history that dates back to 1983 when the conference looked very different. That year, the University of Puget Sound won the conference and Eastern Washington was second.
Fast forward to 2025, with thousands of games played since that inaugral year. Even with that much history in place, a number of new entries were written into the various categories in the deep record book.
The most obvious marks were established by scoring machine
Adrian McIntyre of
Westmont. The senior guard set a new season scoring average record with 27.9 points a game, a single-game game record of 51 points and a single season record with 277 field goals.
But there were a number of other changes in the top 10 lists as well.
Hawai`i Hilo's Nadjrick Peat moved up the ladder to No. 3 all-time with 181 blocked shots.
Point Loma's Zackry Paulsen graduates with a career scoring average of 16.4 points a game, and
Concordia's Jayce Catchings had the sixth most offensive rebounds in league history with 105.
In one of the most unusual and impressive new entries,
Azusa Pacific had the best game at the free throw line in PacWest history, converting all 19 charity opportunities. The Cougars also had two other perfect games in free throw accuracy at 14-for-14 and 13-for-13 to list in the all-time top 10.
