INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--Four Pacific West Conference volleyball teams are in postseason contention, based on the first NCAA west region rankings, announced today by the national office.
Biola is sixth,
Concordia seventh,
Hawaii Hilo eighth and
Point Loma tenth in the NPI calculations. Fresno Pacific sits at No. 1, CSU San Bernardino is second and Central Washington is third.
2026 marks a way to calculate the weekly rankings, which in the past was tabulated by a ratings committee. Now a National Power Index (NPI) will produce the list that eventually will determine what teams qualify for the NCAA postseason. To read more about NPI,

Ultimately, the conference tournament champions from the PacWest, the GNAC and the CCAA will gain automatic NCAA tournament berths, and the next five teams selected will come from this final list for a eight-team tournament.
