Hawaii Hilo won a trio of one-run games at home against Dominican, taking two of them in walk-off fashion. Jessup’s Aaliyan Tinoco hit .523 on the week with 10 RBI and she scored 11 times, while Dominican’s Alexis Verdugo pitched 17.2 innings without giving up an earned run.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jessup’s Aaliyan Tinoco, INF, Jr., 5-7, Yuba City, Calif.
Jessup’s Aaliyan Tinoco was a consistent offensive presence through eight Warrior games last week, helping to lead her team to a 6-2 mark. Tinoco was 11-for-21 at the plate (.523) against Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade, lashing a double and two triples while also driving in 10 runs and scoring 11 times. The Yuba College transfer went 4-for-4 in one of the wins over the Sharks and is now hitting .345 on the year.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Dominican’s Alexis Verdugo, INF-P, Jr., 5-7, Fresno, Calif.
Dominican’s Alexis Verdugo had three appearances in the Penguin’s series at Hawaii Hilo and one more against Hawaii Pacific and did not give up an earned run. The junior from Fresno pitched a total of 17.2 innings, both as a starter and in relief, and gave up only eight hits, four walks and she struck out 16. She was 3-1 on the week, including six innings of shutout work today (Monday) against HPU. Verdugo is now 3-2 on the season with a 2.36 ERA.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: The PacWest Team of the Week is the
Hawaii Hilo Vulcans. The Vulcans hosted 2025 PacWest playoff team Dominican, and took three of four games, two of them in walk-off fashion. All three of their wins were by one run.
Harley Acosta hit a walk-off double in the tenth inning for the first win (after Dominican had won the first game of the series). The Vulcans rallied from a 2-0 deficit with three runs in the sixth in the second win for another 3-2 victory and won the final game of the series with back-to-back squeeze plays for a 4-3 win.
Janessa Santos pitched 8.2 innings without giving up an earned run on the final day and right fielder
Rayna White threw out a runner at home plate in extra innings. She also hit. .385 for the series with a pair of RBI. Hilo improved to 8-7 overall and to 5-3 in the PacWest.
