INDIANAPOLIS--PacWest tournament champ
Hawaii Hilo, along with at-large honorees
Point Loma and
Westmont have qualified for the NCAA West Super Regional women's golf championships in Pueblo, Colo.
The event will be played at the Pueblo Country Club, May 4-6. The Vulcans earned the PacWest's automatic berth by winning the conference tournament, while the Sea Lions and Warriors were voted in by the selection committee of coaches and administrators in the west, and then finalized by the NCAA national committee.
That trio joins a large field of teams and players from five different conferences. There will be 20 teams competing and six at-large players (not on those 20 teams), including Vanguard's
Theresa Shaw.
Those teams and players wlll be playing for a berth in the NCAA National Championships in West Palm Beach, Florida. That event is May 12-16 at the PGA National Course.
