PUEBLO, Colo.--Point Loma's Annika Yturralde landed in third place in a field of the top golfers in the west at the NCAA West Regional Championships at the Pueblo Country Club.
Yturralde ended the two-day, three rounds at +12. She shot a 77 and 72 on Monday, and was at 79 today. She finished just one shot behind second-place Avery Foster of CSU San Marcos (+11). It is the best finish by a Sea Lion at the regional tournament and will be their first nationals participant.
As a team, the Sea Lions were in ninth, Westmont tied for 11th and Hawaii Hilo was 18th. The tournament was played in cold and windy conditions.
