BOULDER CREEK, Nev.--Hawai`i Hilo's Dylan Bercan finished his senior year and the NCAA Championships in strong fashion with four birdies and an 18th place finish at the NCAA National Championshps at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Bercan, who qualified for the nationals as an at-large entry, shot a 70 today to finish at -5 for the tournament. Previously he carded a 73 and a 68 in the three-round, 54-hole event. His round today included four birdies, an eagle, and four bogeys. His last six holes featured the eagle, three straight birdies and two pars to wrap up the tournament.
Bercan's final tally was the second best score for a player from the west region.
Octoavio Laurent of USC-Beaufort (South Carolina) was the NCAA champion with a final score of -17.
