PacWest Spotlight: Penguin Field

For the first time in the history of the program, Dominican softball has a place on campus to call home. The 2015 season marks the unveiling of Penguin Field, a beautiful softball field nestled right in the middle of the ever-expanding John F. Allen Athletics Complex. After playing in various locations across San Rafael and Marin County, the Penguins now have one place to play, practice and continue to build a rising program.

PacWest TV host Wayne Coito spent an afternoon on campus, watching the Penguins practice and taking in the brand new complex. Head coach Sarah Byrne and seniors Kayla Rodriguez and Leslie Mesa discussed how this new addition will benefit the program, both competitively and within the university community.
