Academy of Art Wins Two Golf Awards

IRVINE, Calif. -- Academy of Art won both Golfer of the Week awards after Anahi Servin and Julius Kreutzer turned in impressive performances at the Nighthawk Invitational in Livermore, California.

WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Servin earned her third-consecutive weekly award to start the season, extending her record to 11 Golfer of the Week recognitions in her PacWest career. The junior took second place at the Nighthawks Invitational at the Poppy Ridge Golf Course. Under tough conditions in the first round, Servin shot a 6-over-par 78 which was the third-best score of the opening round. In the following round, Servin moved into second place with a big improvement, shooting a 1-over-par 73, which was tied for the best round of the tournament. Servin's performance helped Academy of Art take second place as a team.

Kreutzer won his second individual title in a row to open the 2021 season as he shot a 2-over-par 146 to win the event. Kreutzer was tied for 11th place after the first round after having shot a 5-over-par 77. However, he turned it around in the second round, shooting the best single-round score of the entire tournament with a 3-under par 69. That performance was enough to catapult Kreutzer to the top of the leaderboard and move Academy of Art into a tie for third place.
