Servin Wins 11th Career Individual Title

IRVINE, Calif. -- Academy of Art's Anahi Servin has won the second PacWest Golfer of the Week of the fall season after leading the Urban Knights to the title at the Birdie Fest by taking first place individually.

This is Servin's 11th career individual title and 13th career PacWest Golfer of the Week award. Servin is now tied for the most PacWest Player of the Week awards in conference history across all sports, equalling the record set by Shih Teng Chen from BYU-Hawaii volleyball in 2011-14.

WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Anahi Servin, Academy of Art
Sr. – Asuncion, Paraguay/San Miguel Arcangel
Servin turned heads in 2018 when, as a freshman, she broke the PacWest Championships record for lowest single round by shooting a 64 at the Wigwam Golf Course. Three years later, she turned in an even better opening round score, shooting a 9-under-par 63 at Peacock Gap Golf Course. That performance not only broke an Academy of Art school record, but also helped the team post its lowest round in program history at 286. She had nine birdies in that opening round, including five in a row. The next day, the Urban Knights came back to hold onto the top spot on the leaderboard against Sonoma State. Servin shot a 1-over-par 73 to finish the tournament at 8-under-par 136 to help the Urban Knights win the tournament by two strokes. The senior from Asuncion won the individual title by a margin of three shots, beating the CCAA Golfer of the Week Lexi Nielsen.
