A very familiar name to PacWest golf fans has returned and immediately grabs the PacWest Player of the Week award. Also very familiar, Holy Names takes the Team of the Week award for the second time this fall.
Point Loma’s Alli Kim returns to the course after serving as an assistant coach last season, and picked up where she left off with a +1 round of 75-70. Holy Names’ Ebba Wernered was impressive as well with the same +1 score, leading her team to a fifth place finish at the RJGA Shootout.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Point Loma’s Alli Kim, Gr., Murrieta, Calif.
Alli Kim is back!! The former Point Loma standout is no longer former, carding +1 for 36 holes at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona. Kim, who finished second at the 2019 PacWest Championships and is a two-time First Team All-PacWest selection, carded a 75 on the first day but then roared back with a 70 (-2) to tie for fifth place. Kim, who was a Sea Lion assistant coach last year, earned her tenth PacWest Player of the Week award dating back to 2018.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Holy Names Hawks
Holy Names was the top team finisher at the RJGA Shootout, bolstered in part by
Ebba Wernered’s sizzling round of 69 on the second day. They tied for the best round of any team in the tournament, which featured 15 teams and 84 golfers (won by Arkansas-Fort Smith). Holy Names’
Regina Parra (+2) tied for eighth, and
Sofia Young (+11) and
Lavinia Rometto (+12) rounded out the scoring for the Hawks. HNU was in eighth place after the first 18 holes (303) but improved by four strokes on the second day (299) to move up three spots.
