Cougars Claim No. 1 Seeds in Both Brackets

Azusa Pacific is the top seed in the 2026 men's and women's tennis championships, which begin Wednesday in Arizona.

SURPRISE, Ariz.--The final seedings and match-ups are now in ink for the 2026 Pacific West Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Championships this week at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Club, Wednesday-Friday, April 15-17. 

The tournament begins for the men at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, involving seeds 3-6. The winners advance to the semifinals on Thursday against one of the top two seeds (who have byes). Those men's matches will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, with finals (Friday) also to be played at 9 a.m.

For the women, with an eight-team field, they will begin play on Wednesday at 1 p.m. The action continues on Thursday with the semifinals and consolation brackets, and Friday are the championships. The women will play at 1 p.m. all three days.

Azusa Pacific, is the No. 1 seed for the men. In the women's bracket, the No. 1 seed is also the Cougars.
