NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Westmont’s Hannah Camara is the Day One leader after 18 holes at the Pacific West Conference Women’s Golf Championships at the Aliante Golf Club.
Camara, who tied for fifth at the 2025 championships on this same course, shot a sizzling 4-under in the first round. She had seven birdies in her round to take a two shot lead over second place

Menlo (-2).
Camara’s round helped propel the Warriors to the first day lead with a team score of +7. Hawaii Hilo is just two shots back at +9 and Dominican is third at +11.
Two more rounds are set, with 18 holes each on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Two shots behind Camara is Menlo’s Penzold, who had four birdies to get to her round of 70. Following Penzold is a pack of players that are familiar to PacWest women’s golf fans.
Tied for third is
Vanguard’s Theresa Shaw, Westmont’s Karis Haltom and
Jessup’s Jessica Burdick. Haltom is the 2025 PacWest champion and Shaw is a two-time top 10 finisher while at Biola. Penzold was a PacWest Player of the Week twice in 2026.
Tied for sixth is
Avery Kraatz and
Mady Whitney of
Dominican at +1, along with
Hawaii Pacific’s Isabella Iorio. Rounding out the top 10 is
Julianne Canda (Jessup) and 2024 PacWest champ
Kiersten Saludares of
Hawaii Hilo.
