PLAYER(S) OF THE WEEK: Concordia’s Isaiah Walz, INF, Jr., 5-10, 160, R/R, Yucaipa, Calif.
Concordia’s Isaiah Walz went 10-for-16 (.625) during a four-game series split with Biola last weekend. Walz scored ten times, had two home runs, a triple and a pair of stolen bases. He drove in five runs from his No. 2 spot in the order. He had a trio of hits in three of the four games and scored at least twice in all four contests. The junior shortstop, who is hitting .398 is now on a 12-game hitting streak.

Point Loma’s Owen May had ten hits in 19 at-bats (.526) during the Sea Lions’ four-game sweep at Fresno Pacific. The senior hit for the series cycle with a double, triple and two home runs. The second baseman and lead-off hitter drove in nine runs and scored ten times as Point Loma improved to 20-0 in PacWest play. He had three hits in each of the last three games of the series to boost his average to .320 on the season.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Concordia’s Wyatt Madison, LHP, Jr., 5-11, 190, Los Alamitos, Calif.
Concordia’s Wyatt Madison allowed just two hits in six innings of shutout work during a 11-1 victory over Biola. The lefthander did not allow an earned run, walked three and fanned eight in picking up his second win of the season. It was his second straight outing without giving up a run, and he has allowed just two runs over his last 21 innings pitched. At the plate, he went 7-for-14 and scored six times in the series.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: The PacWest Team of the Week is the
Point Loma Sea Lions. The Sea Lions picked up their fifth straight series sweep, this time taking out Fresno Pacific on the road in four games. Point Loma, now 20-0 in PacWest play and 24-3 overall, scored 58 total runs in the four games and lashed out 61 hits. They scored in double digits in all four games, and now have scored 10 or more runs in six consecutive contests. That is a NCAA-era school record for the Sea Lions, as is the 20 straight victories.
