NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev.—When
Hawaii Hilo won the 2025 Pacific West Conference Men’s Golf Championship, they became the first program in the history of the league to win three straight trophies.
Tomorrow, they have a really good chance to make it four in a row.
The Vulcans have a 18-shot lead heading into Wednesday’s final 18 holes. They have a team score of 2-under par, with
Menlo in second place at +16. Today, on a very windy afternoon at the Aliante Golf Course, Hawaii Hilo almost doubled their lead from the first round, when they jumped out to a 10-shot margin.
Hilo carded a -1 team score today, with tournament leader
Dylan Bercan leading the way with a 70. Bercan, who won the 2025 title via a sudden death playoff, has a two-shot lead for medalist honors at -6, with
Vanguard’s Kyle Koski right on his heals at -4.
That duo has a healthy lead over
Jessup’s Jacobus Brakkee (+1) and
Braden Armstrong (+2). Tied for fifth at +3 is
Ryan Bello (Menlo), Ben Crinella (Hilo), Jacob Torres (Hilo) and
Nicolas Rocha (Westmont). Rounding out the top ten is
Dysen Park and
Katsuhiro Yamashita of Hilo, who are both at +4.
That gives Hilo five of the top ten players in the field.
Menlo made the biggest jump of the day, going from seventh to second place. They were at +3 on the day.
Westmont is in third (+16),
Dominican is next (+25), tied for fifth is
Jessup and
Vanguard (+27), seventh is
Hawaii Pacific (+34) and
Chaminade is at +49.
Players will tee off for the final round on Wednesday morning at 10 am. The leaders will hit from the first hole at noon.
