NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Hawaii Hilo won their fourth straight men’s golf title, and the 2026 version had the least drama of the four.
The Vulcans led from start to finish. They had a 10-shot lead on day one, a 14-stroke advantage after two rounds and a final margin of 18 strokes. They finished with sizzling score of -7, the second lowest team score in conference history.
It is Hilo’s seventh PacWest men’s golf championship overall, all under head coach
Earl Tamiya. That is the most titles in PacWest men’s golf history.
Finishing second was
Menlo (+11) and
Westmont was third (+12).
Also repeating as champion was Hilo’s
Dylan Bercan. The 2025 victor also led from the beginning to the end. He finished at -8 with rounds of 68-70-70. That is also the second lowest medalist score in the conference record book.
Kyle Koski of
Vanguard stayed close to Bercan throughout the tournament. He was the runner-up at -3.
Jacobus Brakkee (Jessup) and
Jose Carlos Liocon (Westmont) tied for third at even par.
Jacob Torres (Hilo) was next at +1, followed by
Daniel Mamorstein (Dominican) and
Nicolas Rocha (Westmont) at +2. There was a six-way tie for eight at +3—
Ryan Bello (Menlo), Braden Armstrong (Jessup), Katsuhiro Yamashita (Hilo), Fisher Ransom (Vanguard), Fernando Jimenez (Westmont), and
Jack Start (Menlo).
Hawaii Hilo earns the PacWest’s automatic berth into the NCAA Super Regionals in Stockton, California, May 7-9. Others from the PacWest may also earn at-large berths in the tournament, which features schools and players from three conferences throughout the west.
